FAQ

  • In general I think the best way to find your Type is to either talk to a person trained in administering typing interviews, or to do your own research using a good Enneagram book (you’ll find some of my favorites under the Resources tab.) Historically, the Enneagram was taught in small groups or handed down from teacher or spiritual guide to student - and I happen to think there is great wisdom in this approach. Therefore, I would recommend foregoing a test (there are just too many bad ones out there.) Having said that, if pressed, I’d recommend the proven tests from trusted sources such as The Narrative Enneagram (https://www.narrativeenneagram.org/) or The Narrative Enneagram (https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/.)

Additionally, I would advise not beginning this process until you’re willing to engage in honest, non-judgmental self-inquiry. An open heart and mind and a willingness to ask (and answer) good questions will go a long way.

  • I’m glad you’re asking this question! The Enneagram isn’t just a labeling system; knowing your type is just the first step. I’d suggest reaching out for a “Next Steps” session. Here, we can identify goals, create action steps, and look into next-level Enneagram learning (such as subtypes, defense mechanisms, stance work, and practical application.)

  • I use www.psychologytoday.com to find therapists in my search area. I narrow them down by insurance coverage, counseling modalities, or presenting issues (or any other features important to the client.) From there, I email the therapist directly to ask if they’re certified and/or experienced in using the Enneagram in their practice. It’s a bit tedious, but I don’t know if an easier way at this time.
**If you’re a therapist who uses the Enneagram in practice and is currently taking new clients, I’ll be happy to link to your work on my Resources page - just reach out and let me know!

  • We’ll meet in my home office in Salisbury, Maryland or on Zoom (your choice.) We’ll establish your goals for engaging in coaching. We’ll address what’s been problematic for you, answering the question, “So what’s brought you here?”, but we’ll go beyond that. Together we’ll see where you’ve gotten lost in your own life. We’ll discuss what stories you’re living out that are not congruent with who you are at your core, and we’ll use various tools (including the Enneagram, if you’re open to exploring that) to find healing and integrative living. If you would benefit from services that go beyond the scope of my coaching practice, I’ll refer you to a doctor or therapist for further treatment or growth work.

  • A counselor or therapist has obtained a Master’s level education as well as passed their state licensure to practice in the field of mental health. They may deal with patterns going back to childhood to help a client overcome traumas, mental health diagnoses and psychological or medical treatments.

A certified coach has gone through a credentialed track to ensure the best practices and most comprehensive education in the coaching field. A life coach will partner with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their potential and reach their goals.
Coaching can offer a wonderful platform to step up or step down from counseling, or it can stand alone as a support for clients who are looking to reach goals and be more effective and intentional in their personal and professional life and relationships.

  • As a private practice, I am not covered by insurance. Should the coaching field become regulated in the future, this would be a wonderful opportunity that I'd like to explore.

  • Click the Programs tab to see what services are offered. Reach out with any questions regrading particular needs for your group and fees by clicking on the Connect with Christi tab or to book at free 15 minute Inquiry Call.

  • If you can’t make a scheduled appointment, kindly give 24 hours notice to reschedule. One missed appointment will be forgiven and rescheduled; repeated issues will result in a conversation to see if you’re able to commit to coaching at this time.

  • I do. I offer sessions on Zoom or in person, in my private home office in Salisbury, MD. *My home office is up a flight of stairs so factor that in when deciding the best option for you.

  • This is one of my favorite ways to teach! Click on the “Programs” tab to view the group-teaching option that I offer (up to twelve people). If you would like to collaborate and don’t see an option there that fits your needs, reach out by clicking “Connect with Christi” and drop me a note - we can tailor the discussion to meet the needs of your group. I look forward to seeing how we can collaborate!
